The Student Athlete Performance Center, Camp Randall North Addition, was constructed on the north end of Camp Randall Stadium at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The project consisted of the addition of a new three-story, 32,000 square foot academic and strength training center on the north end of Camp Randall Stadium and the replacement of the north end stadium scoreboard with a larger and technologically advanced scoreboard.
Fish & Associates, Inc., provided structural shop and field inspection for the structural-steel framing and expansion joints and decking inspections for the floor and roof of the addition. The structural-steel-framing inspections included visual inspection of welded and bolted connections and nondestructive testing (NDT) utilizing magnetic particle (MT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) of welded connections.
